Bird Monitoring

From 8:00AM to 12:00PM

Bird Monitoring 8am at Riverbend Recreation Area in Findlay - Join Bob Sams, Natural Resource Asst., once a month to conduct a Bird Diversity and Population census. Participants will count all observable birds. Hiking distances will vary with at least 1 1/2-2 1/2 hours on the trail. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Habitat Restoration

From 10:00AM to 12:00PM

Habitat Restoration 10am-12pm at Oakwoods Nature Preserve, Discovery Center in Findlay. Participants will help with various tasks such as grapevine cutting, invasive species removal, seed collecting, reseeding, tree guard installation and repair, pruning, weeding, planting, trail maintenance, etc. Please bring work gloves. Tools will be provided. Register by Friday, March 22nd. If weather is unfavorable participants may be able to assist with indoor activities.

Easter Egg Scramble - Fostoria

From 11:00AM to 12:00PM

Mark your calendar for the Annual Fostoria Easter Egg Scramble at Fostoria Intermediate Elementary School (cafteria/gym). Bring your own basket. Doors open at 10am and scramble starts at 11am. Bring your camera to get a photo with the Easter Bunny! Coloring activities sponsored by Fostoria Community Arts Council. Hosted by the City of Fostoria and First Federal Bank.

Pheasants Forever Fund Raiser

Pheasants Forever Fund Raiser and Dinner at the Meadowbrook Park Ballroom in Bascom/open to the public/Doors open at 5pm and dinner is served until 7pm with a live auction to follow/proceeds benefit Wildlife In Seneca County/cut off date for all tickets sales is March 18th/For ticket information call 419-937-0722 or 419-937-2264 Tickets are $50 per person or $65 per couple/Price includes dinner(s) and one year membership.

Youth Sports Fundraiser Dinner

Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Youth Sports Fundraiser Dinner The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department is proud to present the inaugural 2013 Youth Sports Fundraiser Dinner. The event will take place on Saturday April 20th, 2013 at the Bowling Green Community Center. Proceeds benefit Bowling Green Parks and Recreation’s youth sports programs. This year’s event is headlined by guest speaker, Fox Sports Detroit broadcaster for the Detroit Pistons, Gregory Kelser. Kelser is a former Michigan State University Spartans basketball player and National Champion. Single tickets for the event are $30. Registration Deadline is Friday, April 5th. Fountain Cemetery Clean Up, Fostoria

The Spring clean-up at Fountain Cemetery will take place on March 25th (weather permitting). Lot owners are asked to remove all winter decorations from their lots before March 25th. Any remaining items, with the exception of those directly on the headstone will be disposed of by cemetery employees. Lot owners are asked to wait until March 29, 2013 before placing new spring and summer decorations on their lots.
