SMITHSONIAN TRAVELING JOURNEY STORIES, BG

The Wood County Historical Center is pleased to host the Smithsonian traveling exhibit "Journey Stories", August 10th through September 15th at the Wood County Historical Museum, 13660 County Home Road in Bowling Green. The Museum is open Tuesday-Friday, 9:30am - 4:30pm and weekends 1-4pm with extended hours during special events.

THE FOSTORIA AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY IS RAFFLING OFF 2 TICKETS FOR THE OHIO STATE PENN STATE FOOTBALL GAME ON OCTOBER 26TH AT OHIO STADIUM IN COLUMBUS. TICKETS ARE $3 EACH OR 2 FOR $5. (PARKING NOT INCLUDED) IN ADDITION, THERE WILL BE TWO OTHER PRIZES. THE SECOND PRIZE WILL BE A 1958 ROSE BOWL PROGRAM (OHIO STATE VS OREGON) THE THIRD PLACE PRIZE IS A COPY OF THE NEW DVD, THE HISTORY OF FOSTORIA, VOLUME 1, WHICH WILL BE RELEASED 9/17. Camp Fire Northwest Ohio Club Registration Who: Boys & girls Pre K - 12th Grade. What: Contact Camp Fire to sign up your child for a club. Camp Fire clubs offer youth an opportunity to build social and life skills in small groups and age appropriate settings. Clubs meet during the school year in various locations throughout Hancock Co. Club activities are based on the child's interest, as well as earning Camp Fire recognitions. Cost: $20/youth (includes Camp Fire t-shirt) Where: 305 W. PLANETARIUM NIGHT: STORY

From 7:00PM to 8:00PM

Bring the kids and enjoy a story (Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star), craft and take a look at the stars in the planetarium. Participants must sit on the floor. Ask about handicap accessibility. No fee but register by Thursday, September 12th. (Oakwoods Nature Preserve, Discovery Center)
