Senior Center To Present Hancock Historical Museum

The Hancock County Agency on Aging, “The Senior Center,” is partnering with the Hancock Historical Museum to present a series of interesting programs every third Thursday of every month. The Hancock Historical Museum presenters will share information on the history of “Local Bars and Restaurants,” on Thursday, September 18th which will begin at 9:00am with coffee, pastries and conversation with the presentation to follow from 9:30am-10:30am in the Fitzgerald Room at the Senior Center.\r\nThe Hancock County Agency on Aging, The Senior Center, is located at 339 East Melrose Ave. on the corner of North Blanchard and Melrose.

The Wood County Historical Museum is pleased to host a nationally-recognized photography exhibit by Christopher Payne called Asylum: "Inside the Closed World of State Mental Hospitals". The exhibit and companion book will be in the new gallery space at the Wood County Historical Museum May 31 - November 16, 2014. An opening reception is planned for Friday, May 30, from 6-8pm, with Payne's remarks and book signing. This event is free and open to the public.
