Wills Planning Workshop at The Senior Center

From 10:00AM to 11:30AM

The Blanchard Valley Health System and the Blanchard Valley Foundation will offer a Wills Planning Workshop on Monday, October 6th from 10:00am-11:30am at the Senior Center. Topics and materials to be presented include the following: Wills Planning 101-Gathering important information prior to creating or updating your will BVHS Legacy Kit-includes a 42 page wills planning workbook Q & A segment with a local attorney This is a free event. Reservations are required and seating is limited to 50 people. Please RSVP by contacting: Jo Missler, Senior Center Office Administrator at 419-423-8496. The Hancock County Agency on Aging is located at 339 East Melrose Avenue on the corner of Melrose and North Blanchard.

Pioneer Tyke Hikes, HPD, FINDLAY

Let’s step back in time and explore what it was like to live as a pioneer! Children ages 3-6, accompanied by an adult, can visit the historic McKinnis Homestead on Monday, October 6 at 10am or 1pm to experience grinding corn, pressing apples for cider, and taking a tour through the historic McKinnis House at Litzenberg Memorial Woods. Litzenberg Memorial Woods is located at 6100 U.S. Route 224, west of Findlay. The Wood County Historical Museum is pleased to host a nationally-recognized photography exhibit by Christopher Payne called Asylum: "Inside the Closed World of State Mental Hospitals". The exhibit and companion book will be in the new gallery space at the Wood County Historical Museum May 31 - November 16, 2014. An opening reception is planned for Friday, May 30, from 6-8pm, with Payne's remarks and book signing. This event is free and open to the public.
