Celebrate United! Celebrity Server Week

From 5:00PM to 7:00PM

United Way of Hancock County will be hosting an event to celebrate the good work of this year's fundraising campaign. The community is invited to participate in the annual Celebrity Server event happening each day between January 12 and January 16 at different locations throughout the community. The public is invited to patronize the following establishments and get served by local leaders who Live United. “I’m not crazy…..I’m just not you” with Les Helms, BS, MBA, MS January 14th, 6:00-7:00pm - Free Program Have you ever met someone you have an immediate reaction to? Discover ways in which to interact more effectively with others. Join us for the beginning of the Something to Think About series with Les Helms. Each month will be something different and fun to learn about. Les is a full-time faculty member in the Business Management Department at Columbus State Community College. He is also president of L & L Training Solutions, Inc. Les speaks for a variety of organizations. His specialties include emotional intelligence, managing conflict, personality types, communication and thinking styles, and many other skills. His approach to learning is positive, collaborative, and upbeat. People who have heard Les present say he is one of the most engaging and versatile speakers around. Les’s motto for life, "Be flexible. That way, you won’t get bent out of shape." The Hancock County Agency on Aging, The Senior Center, is located at 339 East Melrose Ave. ### About the Hancock County Agency on Aging: The mission: Enriching Lives, Supporting Independence. The Hancock County Agency on Aging, also known as The Senior Center, offers programs and services to enrich the quality of life for senior adults and to support them in remaining independent and in their own homes. All individuals of Hancock County who are at least 55 or better are invited to utilize the facility and programs. Outreach and chore services are limited to seniors age 60 years and older or 55 if they are on social security disability. We also partner with area non-profit organizations and businesses to expand upon the options which are available to seniors.
