FINDLAY GARDEN CLUB SHOWCASE, FINDLAY

From 10:00AM to 5:00PM

Attention garden lovers! The Findlay Garden Club is showcasing eight residential gardens and one business garden during its annual tour from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, July 11 and from 1 to 5 pm and on Sunday, July 12. Included in the self-guided tour are the Findlay gardens of Ginny Clymer, Michael and Midge Foster, Johanna and Chris Wolford, Mark and Kathy Creighton, Jeff Knox, Jeff and Sun Love, Bonnie Croy, and the Van Buren garden of Effraim Bilgili. The tour is free to the public but donations are accepted. Find maps the week before the tour at Brinkmans, Feasels, the Perennial Plant Peddlar, Lowes, Meijers, Walmarts, Garden Central and Indian Trail Nursery in Columbus Grove. Dog Days of Summer: Open House, HPD, FINDLAY

From 1:00PM to 4:00PM

Visit the historic McKinnis House to find out how folks in the 1840s beat the heat with cool drinks such as shrub and switchel! Learn some fan etiquette and learn the latest news from around the area. Come out on Sunday, July 12 to the 1847 McKinnis House at Litzenberg Memorial Woods. The historic homestead will be open from 1-4 PM. All ages are welcome to attend this free open house. Registration is not required. Litzenberg Memorial Woods is located at 6100 US RT 224, west of Findlay.
