Bowling Green State University and Wood County Historical Center & Museum Present German-American Encounters: A Story Slam Wednesday, October 7th at 7:00 PM Wood County Historical Center and Museum The Wood County Historical Center and Museum, in cooperation with the Department of German, Russian and East Asian Languages at BGSU, will present its annual observance of German-American Day on Wednesday, October 7th at 7:00 pm at the Wood County Historical Center and Museum. This program is free and open to the public. Museum Education Programs Coordinator Mike McMaster and BGSU Professor Geoff Howes invite the Northwest Ohio community to celebrate German-American heritage by participating in a story-slam that for the third year in a row allows members of the audience to tell their stories about German-American heritage or encounters between American and German-speaking cultures. Participants will be given 5 minutes to share a story about German-American cultural contacts, heritage, or travel. Prizes will be given to the top three stories as chosen by the audience. Fellowship and snacks after the program. This event is free and open to the public. The museum is located at 13660 County Home Road, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
