An open house will be held at the historic 1847 McKinnis House at Litzenberg Memorial Woods on Sunday, November 1 from 1-4 PM to see how the McKinnis family prepares for winter. There are just a few things left in the garden to harvest and now it is time to move inside and get warm by the fire. Visitors can enjoy the smell of tea brewing and fresh bread baking in the oven. Children and adults of all ages are welcome to attend this free open house. Registration is not required. Litzenberg Memorial Woods is located at 6100 US Route 224, west of Findlay. Photorealistic watercolor paintings by area residents will be on display at Wesley Memorial Art Gallery and Garden, October 1, 2015 through November 29th. They are students of Findlay, Ohio professional artist, Laura Barnhardt Corle. The Gallery, a member of the Fostoria Community Arts Council, is located at 1200 Van Buren St., Fostoria, in the handicapped accessible narthex of Wesley United Methodist Church.
