Free, but register by 12 PM on Friday, November 20 A program about the moon will be held at Oakwoods Nature Preserve’s Richard S. “Doc” Phillips Discovery Center on Monday, November 23 at 4:30 PM for children ages 5 and younger and at 6:00 PM for children ages 6 and older. There will be a story, a moon craft, and an opportunity for children to go inside the planetarium to observe Luna, our only moon. We know it’s not made out of green cheese, but what else do you know about the moon? What did the astronauts find when they landed there? Answers to these and other questions will be provided. Photorealistic watercolor paintings by area residents will be on display at Wesley Memorial Art Gallery and Garden, October 1, 2015 through November 29th. They are students of Findlay, Ohio professional artist, Laura Barnhardt Corle. The Gallery, a member of the Fostoria Community Arts Council, is located at 1200 Van Buren St., Fostoria, in the handicapped accessible narthex of Wesley United Methodist Church.
