Blanchard River Challenge: Self-Guided Float Trip

n/a

The Hancock Park District is facilitating a series of self-guided float trips with shuttle service this spring that cover 37.6 miles of the Blanchard River from Blanchard River Nature Preserve to Blanchard Landing. Trips include a half-day trip, day trips, and a two-day trip with a primitive tent camping experience at Riverbend Recreation Area’s campground. Float trips are scheduled for Saturdays between April 30 and May 21. Sign up for a float trip and take the Blanchard River Challenge. Canoeists and kayakers will have the opportunity to see wildlife, enjoy scenic beauty, and in some cases test their strength, stamina, and perseverance. It is a wonderful way to spend quality time together in the great outdoors.
